If it is specialization in AI, Information Security or Data Science from colleges like IIIT, NIT, IITs then only go with specialization. For specialization branches, the college must have good professors who have projects in these specializations. Please give preference to professor first then placements and then the college.
In India good faculties in these specializations are in IISc, top IITs and top NITs, ISI, IISER, CMI etc.
If it is from normal Tier 2 or higher colleges don’t opt for it. Just go with normal CSE curriculum. These specializations in these colleges are just for name sake and to admit more students for their benefits.
