Which is better, Manipal Jaipur or UPES Dehradun?

There could be more than one ways to look at it.

  1. The branch you want to choose – When I was going through the admission process, I also had a same kind of confusion. I had to choose between UPES dehradun and MIT Manipal. From what I was told , UPES dehradun is really good if you get a petroleum related branch there. This is the area which makes this college different from other private colleges. So go through the course structures of these petroleum related branches and see if you are interested. Because these branches are not offered by a lot of colleges in the country. But if you are interested in mainstream engineering branches then I am not really sure which is better. Try getting in contact with someone from MUJ on QUORA or Facebook to ask them for a better idea.
  2. Fee structure – The reason I ruled out UPES dehradun and decided to go to MIT was that I was not interested in petroleum related courses which UPES specializes in. But when I was making comparisons, fees was one of the deciding factors for me. From what I got to know at that time, it was more or less the same for both the colleges.
  3. UPES dehradun was founded in 2003 so one could say that it is a well established college. On the other hand, Manipal jaipur was established some 5 -6years back and has only had 2–3 batches who have gone through placements. It is still growing as a college. So you have to talk to someone from MUJ to have a better idea about how well it is going on there.
