Let’s compare them w.r.t a few parameters, decide on the basis of what’s important for you:
- Campus Life: Even though the campus is small in MSRIT, but there aren’t any toxic restrictions put on you, unlike VIT(Where apparently you’re not allowed to interact much with opposite gender). But VIT has better club activities. So, this is a tie.
- Infrastructure: VIT wins hands down, RIT has good infrastructure, but doesn’t match VIT.
- Placements: MSRIT Wins by a HUGE margin, the average package of CSE in MSRIT goes above 12LPA. While VIT Only has about 6–7LPA, and most students get mass placed there.
- Exposure: This is again a tie, because VIT has higher number of students, MSRIT is in Bangalore, Vellore is a small place so everything happens only inside the campus.
- Research: VIT has a higher number of research papers published than MSRIT. Might be due to higher intake, but MSRIT Isn’t a research focused college.
- Student Quality: MSRIT Wins again by a huge margin, Mostly COMEDK and KCET Toppers(3 digit rankers) get in, even though there’s management quota but hey, they have 12 LPA average package ‘Despite’ having MQ, so student quality is bound to be better than VIT, where even a guy having 1,00,000 rank will get CSE if he pays well in 4th or 5th round.
