You are comparing a Tier 2 college with a Tier 3 college.
Of course, VIT is better as its quite old institute, SIT is just 8 years old.
There are so many different branches and each batch size in VIT is around 3000. SIT has 5 branches and batch size is around 360-400.
Placements is one parameter where both score equally. Campus placement – highest 23-25lakh, avg -4-5lpa.
Campus wise, I don’t know, VIT might have a lake and railway track. But SIT has its own dam! Yes, all the water required for students at Lavale campus ( ~2000) comes from the dam inside the campus.
Also, in Vellore vs Pune, Pune wins hands down ( Pune is the Oxford of the East).
So academically VIT is better, for better ‘college life’, SIT is better.
