Which is better, Chitkara University or GNDEC, Ludhiana?

  • 0

I have been a student of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) since 2011, so I guess, I am the right person to answer this question. In my opinion, the features on which comparison can be done are enumerated as follows.

Autonomy

See there is a difference between University and college, especially on autonomy front. Though GNDEC had achieved the status of an autonomous college within PTU (Punjab Technical University) in 2012 whilst Chitkara is a fully autonomous university.

Technical Specialization

GNDEC is a renowned college in the region especially in the field of technical education. In GNDEC, only tech-oriented courses are available like mechanical to Computer science under Under Graduate courses. Only two of the Post Graduate courses cover non-technical subjects like MBA and MCA. Whereas Chitkara itself a university offered numerous courses on Technical to non-technical subjects from Under Graduate to Post Graduate level. Obviously more courses mean more diversity.
