Which is better, chemical engineering or computer science engineering?

  • 0

So many engineers these day’s generation fall under the software field or study Computer Science. Only some part study Chemical Engineering. You know what I mean.

Both are very good fields, your interest is the main thing to consider. What you want to pursue, only you can know that.

And if you do consider to have a career in Chemical Engineering, you can do interesting majors like environmental engineering, energy, sustainability, etc, which are very important in our present-day scenario and future too.

If you are interested in a lot of programs and like C programming, then only go for computer science. CS is not that easy to study. The programming is very tough, annoying, and often that is interested only can sustain in this field. Also, in some cases, you may also get into a situation where you have to write endless logic. On the other hand, if you are concerned or have an interest in processing, recycling, generating energy, our environment (who knows what will happen in the future), climate change, etc. You can always do a major or research in Chem Engg. But if you want a good core job for Chem Engg in India, GATE is the only option, or may get a job through campus placement but the starting salary offered is quite low as you need good experience in this field to get a good salary.
