If you are keen on Aerospace, head for IIT Kanpur. The quality of faculty is probably the best especially for Aerodynamics and Propulsion. (I have limited knowledge about advancements in Aircraft structures).
It’s the only institute to have an airstrip within its boundaries. Then there’s the flight lab.
