Amazing! But nothing in this universe is Perfect and so are the Rvce Hostels. There are quite a few problems which is good for you as you’ll learn to adjust which definitely will help you in the long run.
So that said , Let me highlight some of the pros and cons.
Pros
1. You have 4 Different Hostels for 4 years which is the main reason why Ragging is not a problem for Freshers here.(Though some cases seniors do rag freshers but they never cross the line).
2. Food is Good. (Though as time passes , it keeps getting worse, I mean towards the End of the year).
3 .You have choice of selecting the mess . Normally North Indian boarders Go to M.v Mess and South Indians to Dj. For First years there is a seperate one too.
4. You need not be there in the hostel till 10pm.
Cons
1. Wifi speed is pathetic.(Though sometimes it works well). Hope I will delete this point someday.
2. No good restaurants nearby. So if you are fed up of hostel mess, you will probably going 4–5 kms for filling your tummy up.
Anyways if you are south indian, you should not have any problem with hostel or food. Even some North Indians enjoy it but many do not .They keep complaining about it always. Many of those leave hostel and stay in Apartments nearby.
