Which college should I prefer for CSE, VIT Vellore or IIIT Pune? Kindly consider factors other than placements too.

Without any doubt go with IIIT Pune and there are many reasons favoring this.

Reasons:-

1. Overcrowding:- Believe me or not there is overcrowding at VIT. In CSE department at vellore campus itself there are around 2300 students enrolled (because of categories at vit) and these numbers are just horrible while in IIIT Pune the numbers of students enrolled in cse course is even less than 100 which is purely realistic rather than the case at vit.
2. Tag:- The government college tag believe it or not it’s important in our country, in our education system and IIIT Tag will surely help you in many fields whether in placements or higher studies. It’s a bitter truth but ya this tag is important and you know vit doesn’t have this tag.
3. Fee:- Last but not least, fees of IIIT Pune is much less than VIT.
