I am pursing Ph.D – Computer Science from Lovely Professional University, I keep on visiting the campus and is in regular touch with faculties. Also, I have once visited CU, for one of my research paper. I will share my experience regarding both the universities. While looking for admission in any university, there are few parameters to be noted down and then you can compare accordingly.
First parameter should be Curriculum: Since I am a LPU student, I am well worse with their curriculum, LPU follows updated syllabus and keeps on revising it as per the student and industry needs. CU follows a set pattern and abides by it completely. My colleges are associated with CU as well, their syllabus is good, they are a bit adamant about changes in syllabus as per the latest requirement.
Next important factor to be considered is Well equipped Labs, let me tell you honestly, this is my first reason to choose LPU for my research part, as they have well equipped labs with completely latest technology so you need to worry about your projects and research. CU on the other hand has limited resources in this case, through they will try to arrange at their best, but this is time consuming and might even lead to the loosing of interest in certain cases.
Next factor to be counted upon is Placement, for you. Since the day I am attached with LPU, I found every now and then there are placement drives being conducted and students are being prepared day and night for the same. There are lot of companies, which visit the campus, but the main point
