Which college is better for a B.Tech in biotechnology, VIT or SRM University?

Biotechnology is an ocean in itself , so before joining the course , get an insight about the prospects of post course conditions. I did not research about the job prospects etc but was lucky to land a job in a lifesciences firm.

An example of my batch , say about 200 were in my batch , out of which roughly 80% joined IT companies , and the remaining stuck to the field ,went about doing higher studies , landing a job in the lifesciences etc.

So VIT or SRM will not be much of a difference , you need to get a hold of this.

I am not here to give free speech , but I’m sharing my thoughts because what has happened during my batch. I feel Food technology or Bioinformatics would be more approachable and career wise you would have better options compared to biotechnology , or you could do an undergrad and go abroad for higher studies and work , nevertheless do proper homework about the field and the plans regarding the conditions of making a career once graduated.

Both the universities will more or less be the same as both are private.
