Hey there!
Considering that you want to pursue an engineering branch such as computer science or information technology, or even electronics and communication, DA-IICT is by far the better option to go with, than Nirma University. If you are inclined to pursue for some other branch, then you would have to go with Nirma University.
Both the colleges have the same medium for taking admissions in them. Both of them have seats allocated for JEE mains, as well as ACPC quota. Just by looking at the previous years’ cut-offs, it’s easy to jump to the conclusion that the top students prefer DA-IICT over Nirma on any day. A few points supporting this argument also seem reasonable:
- Top notch faculties: Most of the faculties who teach the students , have pursued their degrees , if not doctorates, from the reputed universities from all around the world. Many of my friends are from Nirma CE course, and have complained that the professor doesn’t teach as he should. Do note that it is their opinion, and I take no responsibility for their opinions.
- Better placements: DA-IICT has seen a steady growth in its placement statistics. For more information on this, please refer to the college’s official website.
- Technical achievements: DA-IICT has been college for many great competitive programmers and developers over the years. The restriction-free environment and flexible schedule allows the student to pursue his academic interests without any hesitation. This year, two students from B.Tech first year batch got selected for GSoC 2018.
- Hostel: Students get to experience the hostel life, which in turn helps them to develop skills that cannot be inculcated from academics. The seniors here are very helpful and friendly. The life here at DA-IICT is a class apart indeed.
I could continue even further to make things clear. But, I hope that this might be enough.
