These would be the top four and have historically been the top 4 engineering colleges in Bangalore even if government colleges are considered.
You can join them through
- Common Entrance Test (CET) which is the government exam. Fees will be lowest through this route, approx 40k per year. However only residents of Karnataka, those who have parents from Karnataka or certain refugee groups (eg. from Jammu and Kashmir) are eligible. Gives 50% weightage to your board marks in deciding final ranks.
2. COMEDK exam. This is run by the consortium of private colleges. The annual fees here would be at least a lakh more than CET fees. This exam is open to candidates from all over India. And, ranking is decided purely based on the marks you score in the exam.
