When does the academic year for Bits Pilani start in the first year?

The academic year for all BITSians starts on the 1st of August. As the first yearites are new to the campus, they are called 2–3 days before the registration day( registration day is the day where you make your time table of the courses). This is done just to get them used to the workings of the campus and are given an overview of the courses and the teaching methods.
