THANK YOU FOR A2A.
Though I am not a repeater, I can fully understand the feelings and emotions attached with it. The disappointment of not being able to meet your expectations and failing your and your close ones’ purpose and the result that they deserve to see after the hard work and toil that they have endured for your cause.
But the main point is: dont give up. You can. You are simply a lost soul, wandering amongst the vast wilderness of every single endeavour that you wished to pursue. Nothing else.
Just think about your dreams. Think of the happiness and celebration that your close ones would feel upon your success. So please make it count. I say this because I have personally counselled so many of many close friends who have been unable to make their first chance count.
Strategy-
- Make a BIG poster featuring the college that you wish to join. Write as large as you can your name with the prefix DOCTOR in it. Attach your family photo aside your study table so that everytime you get distracted, you should be able to see their smiling faces and be able to see them feel their success through you. Write your guiding force and your inspiration. Trust me this counts.
- Please dont cheat your parents. Remember they always abscond or scold you for your best. Remember you dont pursue medical because of your parents’ cause, but because you deserve respect as a result of your striving towards it.
- Follow a reward-punishment system. Dont get stuck with your life. This stops your progress. If you achieved something that you had strived for, reward yourself a little and move on. If you failed to achieve what you wanted, no matter by how much small margin, shed a few tears, frown a little and move on. Forget it. Just move on. There are so much opportunities waiting out for you.
- Please make a timetable. Let this be comprehensive but acheivable and not inhuman. Let it such that you include your good hobbies so that you dont get bored of mundaneness. Follow your timetable strictly.
- Since you have read the course at least once, I believe that you should practice as many questions as you can. Remember that God has given you a second chance. Make it count. Prove your mettle. Have faith. You can.
- Practice last year questions seriously to keep yourself updated with the latest trends in the entrance examinations.
- Follow only 3–4 books per subject apart from NCERT. This is so you can complete them thoroughly and be revised in each and every topic so that you can review them easily. Remember its not the number of books that count. Instead of reading 20–30 books only for a single fleeting look, read your 4–6 selected books 20–30 times. You would definitely see the results.
- Please enroll yourself to a good test series so that you have an ample practice of real time duration tests. Many people simply sweat out during the main exams not due to lack of practice but due to lack of patience
