What is your review of SRM University?

Still want to join this place?I studied at SRM University and will explain those things that happen here that are to be avioded.

1. Do not participate in the welcome dance by seniors. It is a place where you will be asked to be part of schemes and you may have to pay 4k to 5k. You will never see them again.
2. Never go for all night parties. At SRM the student life Director if paid money will allow attendance. Never take alcohol and drugs at the parties.
3. Never participate in the Milan, Aarush, Jhalak dances or fashionshows. The girls are given minimum dress to promote the college.
4. All these distractions are planned so that the incompetent staff will get away with teaching you just one or two units.
5. The college encourages boys to sit besides you, it is a part of plan of the university to bring down your education.
6. Never indulge in bad things in the library reading room in the main hostel. It will destroy your character.
7. Never buy grades by paying for the internals.
8. Never go alone to depts. Groping and molesting is common here.
9. Be very careful in the hostel. Your personal photographs will be there for circulation in the class.
10. Never leave mobile or laptop in the class. 20% of the students loose their mobile or laptop.
11. Lots n lots of telugu and hindi students so yu don’t get much chance for international exposure
12. Campus doesn’t look same as it appears in brochures
13. Wifi facility in hostels is very poor. We never got a good wifi signals. All the time we used to take our laptops along with us and search where router present and used to sit under it. Even then signals are bad 🙁
14. Teaching is same like in other colleges .. you can’t expect highly professional teaching
15. Food in hostel sucks!!! Even in meenakshi women’s hostel you can’t get the food worth paying.
16. University management doesn’t arrange any industrial tours … students have to arrange among themselves. Similarly, farewell 🙁
17. To reach university main gate we have to cross a national highway road which is very dangerous. Lots of vechicles keep going very fastly and we have to cross the road very carefully. Fail to do so, we will surely meet with an accident. I don’t understand why such a reputed university can’t do a favour to students by arranging a footover bridge. Auto wala takes advantage of this and charges unfair amount .
18. Food court inside campus( Java green) very unhygenic !!
19. Street Dog’s will be roaming every where on university roads as if the place is a slum street.And often they will step inside hostels.
20. Domestic hostel wardens are very rude .. sometimes they will go to extreme while scolding.
21. Anyone and everyone can enter and exit into university campus day time and security doesn’t even ask. They don’t maintain a record of who is coming and going out of campus. Even small colleges will have tight security at entrance gate.
22. Exam fee and no due fee will be high and you won’t have any chance other than paying. Even you don’t damage or break anything still you have to pay breakage fee and every time you have to pay you will find a very big queue. I don’t understand why we computer science students have to pay breakage fee .. are we working in chemistry labs??!!!
23. If a student die they don’t declare a holiday. ;(
24. Sometimes Water facility in hostel will be poor. All of the sudden this used to happen without any prior intimation.
