You end up paying close to 10 lakh rupees only for your degree and to this are added your personal expenditures. When you add living expenses, easily another 2 lacs per annum which makes it go anywhere between 16–18 lacs in 4 years time.
Compared to what you’re paying, I can guarantee that you will not get a satisfactory job placement because on an average this college can get you an offer of 4 lacs p.a. which makes it almost an impossible case to recover your investment.
The biggest irony of engineering at UPES is that in the last semester they teach you the subject of economics in which we learn about investments. And during that class, the first thing which strikes everyone’s mind is that perhaps if they had studied this subject in the first semester, UPES would have struck a record dropout rate !
