The FCS Program in 2004 assigned the task of R&D on Ground Vehicles to Boeing. The best computer programs and best engineers. 5 years and 50 Billion dollars later the program was cancelled without any results that I am aware of. I qualified my company on 4 items but never had a opportunity to participate
Computer Engineering has become my competitor and the software people who control it, have designated my methods of; build, test and fix as “old fashioned”
I believe in using computers as a tool but not with software to replace common sense, good judgment and dedication. A good computer engineer needs to have a BS in engineering, at least 2 years of experience in the field and then at least a year learning the software that applies to his field.
