First of all let’s compare it with the one’s which has more reputation. IITs and some IIITs can only qualify for that. So, if you are an aspirant you will generally select a college which gives
- Good placements
- Institute has a high recall value
- Faculties there
I think the last two points matters less than the first point i.e PLACEMENTS.
Obviously a typical family and the student wants a good package for him/her so, more or less selecting an institute is dependent on how good placements are there.
Now about Bits Pilani, due to it’s unique policies like 0% attendance and two internships given to students to various companies according to your merit attracts the student. Also there is no management quota or any SC OBC quota. Students gets here only through merit. This unique policies makes Bits Pilani among best Colleges of the country. As I am a Bitsian and currently in 2nd year I know many students who left IITs and came here.
