What is the quality of students at VIT Vellore? How is the crowd there in general?

Hi There,

The quality of peers is relative but never absolute. There are people who achieve greater heights and in meantime there are many who fails to deliver their best. But why does quality of peers really matter to one ? if its the motivation you seek from peers to improve yourself both carreer-wise and personality-wise then VIT is a real big kingdom with lot of diverse people and Since its a generic question I’ll try answering with respect to my personal experience.

  1. I know a girl from B. Tech CSE department in my first year(My Crush lol). She is very good at academics and indeed a 9 pointer. She got admit to Duke college in US an ivy league one and she is currently working in New York in a top consulting firm. While seeing her achievement it motivated me to push my limits and break from my comfort zone. I tried for Purdue and several other top universities in US & Canada with respect to my interest. Finally I made it Dalhousie University in Canada for MS CS which is quite a reputed University in Canada. Not bad for an initial 6 pointer who struggled to finish off with 8.39 CGPA while graduating. But someday I’ll catch up with her careerwise! No matter when , I’ll keep pushing myself 😛
