I am a Master’s student in Microelectronics from BITS Pilani and got placed in one of the top MNCs.
I did my undergraduation from one of the top state colleges of Tamilnadu. I thought BITS would have an outstanding academic environment with great faculty passionate about their subjects. But no, I was wrong. The faculty or academic environment at BITS was no different from what I had in my undergraduate degree. Had I known this earlier, I wouldn’t have even joined BITS. BITS didn’t live upto my expectations in terms of academic quality and education. In this sense, there’s no difference be it VIT or BITS.
The only thing that I have got is, a globally recognized name as my alma mater and an additional degree. That’s it. BITS brand is still recognized. So if you just want that brand name on resume choose BITS.
Many may not agree with me. But this is my experience with BITS. BITS isn’t that great for a Master’s.
