Here it goes :
There was this block which was surrounded by a boundary that wasn’t too high then as compared to the rest of Meera Bhawan. Two girls used to occupy this room nearest to the boundary. One of them used to sleep early and was very soft in nature. It was compre (main exams) time and the one mentioned had slept early as usual. The other one opted for a night out and was busy studying in the common room.
It was past midnight when she realised that she needed her calculator for further preparations. She went back to her room to get it. The corridor was dimly lit that night. The door was slightly open to accommodate her whenever she came back.
The light inside was switched off and it was pitch dark. She decided not to enter her room and alarm her roommate who was in deep slumber she thought. She would stretch her hands through the partly open door and reach the table where her calculator was kept. During this activity, she realized a strange breathing noise coming from within accompanied by a dripping sound. She was alarmed for a while but considering her sleeping roommate, decided to snatch the calculator and run off to study.
She studied till morning and decided to run back to her room to catch a miniature sleep before the exams. To her horror she found her roommate dead, her throat slit wide open from ear to ear, smeared in blood. She was raped and murdered.
When she looked at the wall, she saw something that would haunt her for the rest of her life. It was written in blood: “Thank you for not switching on the light”.
