Thanks for a2a! This year Comedk has made the entire counselling process online and has made quite a lot of changes compared to last year when it was held offline so it is difficult to predict the current ongoing events. Nevertheless I will try to answer your queries regarding mock allotment. Mock allotment is introduced from this year only and involves entering your preferences based on which they predict what college you can get. After entering the preferred options as per them candidate get fair idea what they can expect but I disagree. It clearly states that after this mock allotment which isn’t actual allotment real time allotment shall start. Now try to understand that mock allotment will be done presuming that all qualified candidates will participate in the counselling but in reality not everyone will be later participating in the counselling only candidates who are genuinely interested for Comedk will come as it happens in offline counselling where people used to turn up in NMKRV College which had been offline counselling venue for years! So you can expect your mock allotments to change and might get better colleges later on or preferred streams in real time counselling. Coming to the precaution here, Comedk states that your mock preference saved will be looked into your real time preference so make sure to put up colleges and streams which you want as per last year cutoff which I believe won’t vary to that huge extent! All the best! And ofcourse the cutoff of last year’s are after end of second counselling so don’t get confused if you don’t get preferred college in first counselling itself just find some time and watch with patience!
