Manipal is one of the best private engineering institutes in India. There are many things in Manipal which you will miss out in other colleges and universities. There is a LOT of diversity in students who come to Manipal. And I am talking about both socio-economic and demographic diversity. Not all students are rich. Not all students are spoilt. And even IITs have rich and spoilt people. It is not a correct parameter to judge an institute.
The infrastructure is world-class. I cannot describe it well enough in words. You have to come here and see it to believe it. Same goes for the environment and ambience. It’s near the beaches, it rains four months an year. It’s almost heavenly at times.
Living in hostel can save a lot of money that you spend on food, petrol for you bikes, and if your room is far away from college you may end up missing classes. Manipal hostels are very good with a homely atmosphere. If you stay in the hostel, you will never need to go off campus for anything, you get everything inside the campus – from food to stationaries everything is available in campus.
