Considering B- tech I would suggest Bits Pilani if fees is not a problem coz of the following reasons:
- Most of the students in B-TECH take engineering because it seems to be safest option for making a career. But hardly less than 50% students even in premier institutes find interest in engineering and they have to really struggle to pass 4 years studying something they don’t like.
- In Bits you have flexibility to do minors in finance or humanities and even take subjects from different branches of your interest if you satisfy minimum credits for an engineering degree of the branch you are pursuing currently. I have seen students pursuing their master in computer science after b- tech in civil coz they were not enjoying the field.
- Zero % attendance policy makes it even more favorable for students to do something of their interest or even work on a startup.
- Opportunity to work in top notch industry of your choice ( based on allotment) apart from the placement offer from institute as internship in the final semester where chances of getting a job offer is very high.
- Placement are undoubtedly better than IIT Roorkee with 646 companies coming previous year.
