I sincerely advise you to please reconsider your decision as the biotechnology branch has no future scope in India and a very hard route in abroad.
I myself am stuck in this trap at RV by taking Biotechnology after my 12th class and now am stuck with no placement or any other future as scope. I had to tell lies to my relatives that I got placed in some random company but the reality is that I have shifted to Delhi to prepare for Bank PO. Now I regret my decision of taking admission here back then. I blame the college for such poor placements as this is the story of the majority students of every batch , every year. So don’t get persuaded by the sweet talk of career counsellor, seniors or fake college Ads.
Biotech/Biology as a branch is also not good unless persued from an institute like the IITs or BITS or even some top NITs where everyone bags a placement of 10–15 lakh irrespective of their branch. It is also easier for the folks of these colleges to pursue education abroad due to their alma mater, while the story of rest of the colleges is also somewhat similar to what I experienced at RV.
So your choice should be giving exams like JEE o
