Let’s see :
- Tuition fees – 2 lac – 5 lac per year. (depends on your rank and category)
- Books – Pdfs are provided for studying, VIT doesn’t provide any books to the students, and there’s no compulsion to buy any books, except those few lab manuals for practicals. Trust me most of the students don’t buy even a single book after 1st year. So no charge.
- Labs – You can access the whole campus, no such extra fees for labs.
- Clubs – Now, to get into clubs you don’t need to pay any fees. But, there are teams ( up to you to join them) that ask for around 30k – 70k, depends on which team did you join. For ex. Team Jaabaz is the official BAJA team of VIT which makes off-road car every year, so to meet the expenses, students contribute in this manner. If you are not a part of a team, you don’t have to pay anything.
- Hostel + Mess = Sums up to around 90k- 1.5 lac per year ( depends on what kind of room you took and which type of mess you opted for).
- Backlogs – In case you are not able to pass a subject in a single attempt, the next time you register that subject in the next semester, VIT will ask you to pay 6k. The price is 12k in case the subject is softskills. If the management allows you to give just re exam, instead of registering the whole subject, you need to pay just 1k.
