Generally it’s rapport building -> need assessment-> problem definition -> actual counseling -> evaluation

rapport building is getting the client’s trust that the psychologist won’t spread your information and you can trust to tell every bits of your story
need assessment is finding out background, demographics, what you think is the problem, anything that might relate to the problem
problem definition is trying to identify what the real problem is
counseling is trying to solve the problem
evaluation is to decide whether the problem is solved or do they need to redo the whole thing so that they can re assess what the problem is and find another solution
