I am Madhur Jain from BTech CSE at IIT Bhilai and I am one of best persons to answer this since I am part of the Placement Team of IIT Bhilai.
As of now, 2 batches have been graduated for BTech and the Placements have been marvelous.
This Year (2020–21) we had highest package of 62 lakhs (off campus) and 4 selections in Google (off — campus) . We had highest package of 32 lakhs (on campus) . Placement Percentage was great for CSE. All this figures are amazing keeping in mind that it was just the second batch of IIT Bhilai and Covid—19 had a drastic effect on employment. Look on to other institutions, every eminent institution has faced the downfall in statistics over their Placements but IIT Bhilai has depicted tremendous growth, which is only going to increase with the updated curriculum and offline education (1st IIT to do so after covid outbreak). There were a bit of hurdles in core jobs but overall due to efforts of the team we managed to get well placed in IT sector. Besides the permanent campus will be ready by July, 2022 (By L&T) , so I see a good growth , in coming years. I won’t say that placements are comparable to top IITs but then it’s just the beginning of it’s own journey as an IIT
