You said that you are ‘considering’. So, if you still haven’t decided to do engineering undergraduate course in India, please don’t do. Study in a college in USA.
I was born and raised in India. I did my undergrad in computer science engineering in one of the top colleges in India. Currently, I am working in one of the world’s best company in USA. I have fourteen team mates from eight different countries. Including the ones who did undergrad in MIT, Harvard and Princeton. I have done technical interview for 180 candidates from several countries. I see that most candidates who studied undergrad in India lack depth of knowledge. This includes me too. Its painful that I was not taught what most of my team mates were taught in undergrad. And because of that I still sometimes suffer. I know, two of the world’s top companies, Google and Microsoft, have CEOs who did undergrad in India. And, countless other companies have such people in top positions. It’s absolutely only because they are smart, they worked hard, and not because of their undergrad.
Most of the professors in Indian colleges are in their job because they didn’t get any other job, and not because of their passion or knowledge in the subject. Most of the concepts are taught in a very theoretical way without actual understanding. Please, please, get your college education somewhere else
