This is especially for those who never went to coaching before 11th (like me)
- There are students who have been preparing for NTSE, JSTSE and have given many exams before in their life. You might not even be close to the brightest kid in class. The teacher would ask something and hands could shoot up all around while you sit oblivious.
- The truth is that it does not matter at all. They are not smarter, they are only more experienced. You might have a 95 in boards in 10th but be belittled at the start of the real battle. Study strategies develop slowly, it takes months even but fortunately you have 24 of them to hone your skills.
- Never let your goal drop just because of your marks. Study consistently and put in long hours. I myself studied more in 11th than I did in 12th. 11th was the roughest year as I did not even know before this, the true meaning of the word ‘study’. A fruitful 11th will lead to a smooth and successful and also easier 12th which will boost your confidence to infinity.
- Don’t fall for the trap of trying so hard to beat everyone that you lose focus on the main goal. Make your basics strong and let others around you fool themselves by studying irrelevant material which may fetch them marks in coaching tests but not on the real day.
