What are all the possible courses I can do after my 12th? I am from commerce stream and having maths as well and I am not interested in doing a B.com?

Commerce with Maths is a much sought after course combination.

In case you don’t want to go for traditional B.Com. then you can go through the below course details.

• Chartered Accountancy (C.A.)

Its the one of the most lucrative and attractive professional course in Commerce stream.

The job of a C.A. is to see to it that the financial affairs of businesses and companies are in accordance with the laws set by Government authorities. Their tasks include looking into tax affairs, look into financial transactions through auditing, creating necessary reports, etc.

There are three main stages of the course:

1. CPT (Common Proficiency Test )
2. IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course)
3. CA Final Course

The minimum course duration of CA after 12th is 4.5 years while it is 3 years after graduation. Only on completing the above 3 stages, a candidate is said to have finished the course. There are no regular colleges (like in case of other professional courses) offering CA course. One must apply online, pay the fees and prepare like one is in ‘correspondence’ mode. • Company Secretary (C.S.)

This is yet another lucrative course. It’s too highly paid as C.A. but a less popular one.

There are 3 stages of this program:

1. Foundation Program

After 12th you can join C.S. and can successfully complete the above programs.

• Cost Management Accounting (Formerly ICWA now renamed as CMA)

This course provides you an in-depth knowledge to manage the business within the available resources. As a cost accountant, you have to collect and analyze the financial information from all the areas of a company.

This course comprises of three stages:

1. CMA Foundation
2. CMA Intermediate
3. CMA Final.

You can apply for the foundation course after 12th

• Business Administration (B.B.A.)

It’s a three-year program same as any bachelor degree. You can go for M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) after completing the undergraduate program.

These are reputed and highly paid courses from Commerce students.
