If you compare with PG degree from tier 2 colleges then there are no disadvantages AT ALL iff you have earned degree with your ardent efforts, sincerity, an urge to fulfill further learning, increase your professional and academic value while still on job, enhance your skillset further etc.
But if you compare with on-campus BITS program then there’s only one drawback I can say and that’s not eligible to participate in recruitment program of BITS despite being BITSian.
WILP program is equally good and has not been differentiated in quality anywhere as far as course is considered.
Other monetary benefit would be if your income is above non-taxable limit you can seek tax exemption for your fees as it’s an educational investment.
