  • Start working on projects, the easiest way to do that is to approach faculties who teach something which interests you. They may include you on a project or may guide you to one. Be sincere with your project and develop a deep understanding of the related things, its gonna be helpful in the Interviews.
  • Join a club/chapter if you aren’t a member of any of those yet. But, don’t expect them to give you an edge by their name being on your resume. The skills that you gain from working with a group of people are the only important thing at the end of the day.
  • Start working on your communication skills, proficiency in english will take you a long way be it a group discussion or an interview.
  • If you have a CGPA above 8.5, keep it that way or else try getting it there. It will make your life a bit easier during placements.
  • Keep track of your core subjects ( BEE, AEC, ACD, Digital Logic Design, Modulation Techniques, VLSI Design, DC, Networking).
  • For software/IT companies (a whole lot of them visit the campus) get a grip on your programming. Get well versed with C including Data Structure, at least.
  • CSE/IT people will have way better placements than you. Deal with it.
