Should we pay any amount for attending counseling at VIT?

  • 0

I will give you a honest answer unlike the other answer from the VIT counsellors.

If you have rank within first 20000, then you have to give Rs 50000 D.D. and if you have a rank of more than 20000, then you have to pay a D.D. of Rs 3 lakhs!!!

6 times more, seriously!!! Anyone having rank 20001 will also have to pay Rs 3 lakhs and anyone having rank 100k will also pay the same amount. Moreover I dont know how VIT calculates the ranks. Anyone gets any rank. One of my friend is getting 235 in Mains this year, he got a rank of 70k. Is it possible? Atleast VIT papers are way easier than JEE.

Moreover the management quota fees for students trying to get higher branches like CSE, EE etc. have to pay Rs. 4.93 lakhs per year with any rank above 20k. Plus hostel accomodation will be like 5 lakhs extra in 4 year. Total- 4.93×4 + 5= Rs 24.72 lakhs!!!

Dont spend your parents’ hard earned money so easily. All they want is money. Spending so much for 4 years is too much. Moreover for higher studies you need more money. Instead look for other colleges. If you are too passionate to take CSE, go to some state level goverment institutions or go to Bangalore. You will get more opportunities.

Take your decisions wisely. I know this is a very hard time for all, but remain calm. At the end of the day, everything will be fine. This all are my view, rest lies in your hands.
