Is UPES, Dehradun, good for doing a B.Tech in computer science?

  • 0

The answer to your question certainly depends on what other choices you have apart from UPES.

If you are totally looking forward to pursue your Bachelors from any private institute (and are comfortable with spending whole lot of money!), then you should certainly go for UPES. The reason being B.Tech Computer Science in UPES is available with a variety of specializations, which are based on most of the trending technologies in the industries such as Cloud Computing, Business Analytics, Open Source Technologies, etc.
Now, you may question that these specializations are also available in many other private institutes as well. If so, then I must tell you that UPES was the first private university in India to bring the concept of these specializations. And then the other universities copied that & followed up.
Although there’s a lack of appropriate labs and faculties at UPES, but that’s an issue with most of the universities offering those specializations.

But, remember in mind that UPES is surely going to burn a hole in your pocket, as the specializations come with a great amount of fees (starting from 1.5L per semester, and increasing every year then). So, if you ‘can’ afford that level of expenses easily, then you better finalize your decision with UPES.
