Is UPES dehradun good for aerospace engineering?

Sure about Aerospace ?

Lets get this straight… if you’re joining the aerospace branch just for fun, time-pass or lack of options, then it doesn’t matter if the college is good or not (please don’t do it this way).

On the other hand, if you’re really interested and passionate about the branch, then you should not care as much about your undergraduate-level college as much in India, and focus on getting into top level masters courses in future in India or abroad. Your aim should be to pass bachelors with exceedingly good scores and knowledge of the subject, subsequently pursue master’s degree in Aerospace from one of the IITs or from top universities abroad. You should keep in mind the practical and academic exposure you would gain there.

My suggestion:

In short, my answer to your question is NO. I would not straightaway suggest you to join UPES. Nope.

I say this, because I clearly understand that our country has a very few number of Universities offering branches related to this field. Scope is very limited in India (even if you join the IITs for Aerospace it is quite constrained). But since I feel we share a common passion for the field, I’d still suggest you try getting into IIST or IITs or PEC as they are far more reputed in this domain and you are sure to gain unmatched exposure.
