I am looking forward to getting my cousin sister to join B.Tech. at Bennett University this year. From past one year I have been researching about various universities for my daughter’s admission. After lot of research on internet, talking to students, relatives, colleagues and visiting various campuses, I strongly feel that Bennett University has become the sought-after place for studies.
First of all, the course curriculum for B.Tech. is very unique and aligned with industry. They keep on updating it as per the industry’s requirements. Faculty here is from IITs and other national and international universities. Along with that, students if perform well and maintain their academics performances, also get to visit the university abroad as a part of their immersion program. Batch of 2017 B.Tech. students went to Georgia Tech, Babson Global and University of Nebraska Omaha, USA. What more can you ask at an undergraduate level! I feel this kind of global exposure is difficult to find anywhere else.
Along with this, Industry visits are one of the key features of the course curriculum. Recently, few B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering students have gone to University of South Florida to work and collaborate as summer interns. Students of B.Tech. Biotech visited Yakult, India to understand technicalities, lab, FDA certificates, health & safety norms involved. Such visits ensure practical training and just by observing students learn a lot. University has also announced a collaboration with Amazon India to set up India’s first Alexa Voice Tech Lab on campus.
Since it is university which is backed by Times of India group, I don’t think so as a parent we should worry much about industry exposure, summer internships or placements. I have got to know that their first batch of MBA has got 100% placements with an average salary of around 7.7 lakhs per annum. I strongly believe if student study well, perform in academics, get basics right, placements should be an issue.
