*The Degree is perfectly valid and recognised by the UGC . The question is if it is valued or not . The answer is few :
- Companies value it , few don’t !
- Universities Accept you for PhD , few don’t !
- Universities will accept you for the position for a lecturer , few don’t !
If you have made up your mind to become a lecturer , maybe first become a BITS WILP faculty and simultaneously pursue a PhD from BITS ; post completion of your PhD -> Become an assistant professor in any college with the PhD and the BITS WILP faculty experience .
