Is not Vellore Institute of Technology, or VIT, overrated as a technical university?

Being a vitian, I would say that it might be hyped a little bit but the facilities that are provided are really good. The exposure to explore urself is immense in VIT.. I won’t say we are perfect.. Every college has its flaws… But then we have amazing placements… And in the end it all comes down to how much u make use of the facilities… There are students who have been placed for 24l… In times when there is economic slowdown that good a package is something… Its not entirely VIT’s effort… It also depends on what a student does with his four years… If vit is taken as a place where u can party all the way then yes it is over hyped… Vit has an academic background and it gives utmost importance to discipline n academics…
