I am surprised to know very pointed question relating to specific stream in a specific college. If you are student aspiring JEE main in 2019,you must focus to get good rank in JEE Advance and BITSAT. Best of luck for the same.
Now, your answer. Mech branch is core branch and every facets of the life and every industries require mechanical engineer. It is like high demand high supply, running equillibrium since long. One can say ever green branch without ups & down in demand /initial salary. I would say, college with extra curriculum activities related to engineering / management field would provide good grooming platform. Rest is person’s skill, visualization, discipline, persuation, crave for perfection would make him success!!! All campuses of BITS Pilani have good placement or one can say jump start.
It does not mean students from NO Placement or poor placement college would not succeed. You can say, first crack may take little time and extra effort. Once first job is cracked, then race would be ALMOST equivallent appreciating skills & other qualities.
So. Best is – Study well, put honest efforts, groom yourself, Rest let destiny decides.
