I’ve been reading answers about USMLE on Quora since couple of months. So let me very clear about 2 following points-
- US & Canadian students are always preferred over IMGs (International Medical Graduates).
- Once an IMG clear all the three steps, it’s not necessary to get residency as there are only 50‰ chances for him/her.
The answer is for the students who can easily invest ₹20–25 lakhs for this long procedure because once you clear Step1 & Step2 CK, you’ve to go to US for clinical experiences. Also, the application form costs around 1000$ or more so think many times before taking the decision.
Answer- Absolutely not. You just need to follow best study materials as mentioned below:-
- Read standard books. They may not help you to score well in the University exams but they surely will strengthen your concepts.
- Kaplan Lecture Videos.
- Kaplan Lecture Notes & Question bank.
