They are both excellent for jobs. As a general rule, Computer Science is for hard core coding. If you really like the act of writing software itself then CS is probably for you. Information Science tends to involve more of the business aspect as well as a greater focus on data. If you are more interested in the “big picture” view of corporate computer systems then IS may be a better choice for you.
I know many people with both types of degrees and many of them have had excellent careers.
