First, we need to understand how students are categorised average in our schools. We will take CBSE as a reference as it is the most accepted board in India. A score in the range of 60–70% is considered average in most of the boards including CBSE. In colleges, they consider 50–60% as average. There may be a slight variation among different boards or evaluation system.
Getting Admission in RVCE & MSRIT:-
1)Merit-based exam(KCET & COMEDK)- I assume you are talking about Entrance based admission here. If you see the data the majority of students who gets admission through entrance are above average. It does not mean an average students cant get through the entrance. If you look at the data there is a very good number of average students who clear KCET and COMEDK.
In the case of these two colleges, the competition level is off course very high. so if you want to get an entry you need to perform better than average. It’s all about chances. If you put in little extra effort then why not.
