Definitely not!
You will be spending 20 lakhs rupees in total for four years and you will be either placed in dream or mass recruiter companies at CTC 4–8 lpa which is not justified. ROI in ECE is bad here in VIT. You will repent after B.Tech. You are going to spend 20 lakhs in B.Tech and again to get into ECE core companies you have to do either M.Tech in India which will cost you another 2.5–4 lakhs or MS from abroad which will cost you another 20 lakhs. So, better to save money for future by not spending high fees now.
Another disadvantage of taking ECE is the curriculum is very old and they never teach according to present industrial needs. So, core companies like Texas, NVIDIA, Qualcomm never recruits B.Tech ECE people from VIT. And you have to learn Computer Science curriculum main subjects like OS, DSA, JAVA by yourself in order to get placements which becomes hectic with your own curriculum. The people who can master DSA and competitive coding can only get higher super dream packages @ (10–15 lpa).
