Is a CSE degree from Thapar University worth spending 25 lakhs?

Considering the case that you are not getting IIT’s or top 5–7 NIT’s .

Well choice is yours if you want to study in some college having it’s name in list of top colleges of India or in some college whose reputation is going down day by day.

Choice is yours if you want to graduate from a college having great infrastructure which provides a vast range of opportunities ranging from sports to literary to technical and what not.

Choice is yours if you want to stay in hostels which are in good condition ,having okish mess food or in the one having dilapidated conditions of hostels. And having unbearable messs’ food.

As you might be also aware of the fact that 1.5 million engineers are graduated every year in India. So companies during placements look for an engineer having not only ‘degree’ but one having an edge over others in terms of extra co-curricular activities too.

There are number of societies in Thapar which you can join for learning varied non-technical things like one can learn dance(NOX),singing, economics(ECON Club),Event Management ,Marketing,Designing in various events held round the year. This helps in overall development of an individual. There are societies catering to technical learning too apart from that included in syllabus like CCS,Microsoft Student Chapter (for CS students though anyone having interest may join them),IEEE,IETE(for ECE students) and many more for all branches.
