A 2.7 is equivalent to around 82% or a B- using the letter scale. It’s not a great GPA, but it’s not terrible either. I don’t believe that a cumulative GPA actually has that much influence on your future career, at least on it’s own. It is what it is, and you will still get a college degree with a 2.7 GPA as long as you have fulfilled all of the course requirements. What is really more important here is the answer to this question: “What have you really learned?”
I was a serious student while I studied my university degree, and the result was that I learned a great deal. I spent my Friday nights researching topics at the library or studying at my apartment. Did I give up some of the social life that is typically a part of college life? Absolutely. My goal, however, was to spend four years learning everything I could, expanding my young mind about the topics that I studied. I achieved that, and I graduated with a 3.87 GPA.
