Thanks for A2A.
We need to figure out few questions which are as follows:
- Are those NIT comes in list of Top 7 NIT’s in India ?
- Are you getting your desired branch ?
- Are you financially strong ?
For 1st Case :
It is very important fact that no college can give you everything you want. There may be some loopholes also. See no doubt NIT’s are highly reputed as the “NATIONAL” word comes in the college name. But from sources around me i get to know that some NIT (which does not fill the above mentioned domain) has no good accommodation. Students are killing more time and acquiring bad habits as there is no such mandatory attendance rule. Classes are cancelled often. Food and hostels are pathetic. In nutshell look for the overall aspects of the college. VIT has the best in class infrastructure and accommodation. This college is known for its strict attendance rules which are in a long run pretty good for development of a student.
For 2nd Case :
It is the most important to study the subjects which you like otherwise no point of studying painfully and lying yourself. So don’t just go with the name or brand, choose wisely. So if you are getting your desired branch in top 7 NIT’s excellent otherwise VIT is a great option.
For 3rd Question :
Money always matters, for you also and for them also. If they are giving you a comfortable (Relative term) college life then demand would also be more. Fees in VIT is pretty high as compared to NIT’s ( almost 1200000 INR ) as they would be giving better ( i would say best ) college life. So if your parents are financially strong enough and If not Top 7 NITs’( Tirchy, Warangal, Surathkal, Allahabad, Surat, Jaipur, Nagpur ) then VIT would work .
PS : If you get Computer Science, IT or MS-SE, your loan might be worth it. Overall cost of living in VIT will be high and you need to keep your focus high
Hope it helps !
cheers.
