I have got 96 marks in cbse class 12 chemistry exam 2016. However I am confident that I should have scored 99. Should I apply for verification?

First of all congratulations, dude!

See, go for REVALUATION only , If you are pretty SURE about it. Some of them also had an increment in their marks after the procedure. It should not be, you regretting your whole life for it! At least, if not marks you’ll still receive satisfaction for your entire life!

Although you can go for it, since in your case (Your lang seems to be much confident!:)), there seems a very slight possibility of decrement in your marks!

Now coming on why you shouldn’t go for it.

You have already scored pretty well. There are some teachers, no matter how wonderfully you attempt the paper, they just WON’T give you the marks you deserve! They just won’t! In some cases, some of them also sets up a limit above which they don’t give you marks(In my case, it was 95; which many one of us got, and none above it!) And secondly, you may have done some mistake you are unknown to (just, maybe!).

And CBSE doesn’t allow rechecking of the paper by another teacher. Verification of marks have chances of increment in your marks although.
