I AM FROM A MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY TOO. And guess what, I scored 152 in MU OET and got a rank of 752, so that’s CSE + scholarship. Yet I chose not to go to Manipal. I mean come on man, 20 lacs for four years is way too much. I too screwed my JEE main but that doesn’t mean I can burn my parents’ money. My parents shouldn’t be sacrificing this much just to see me through Btech. Plus I have a younger brother too, who will be joining college in a few years. And all Indian colleges are the same as far as academics are concerned. In Manipal, you’ll just be getting really good hostels and good food and a big green campus and all. I suggest you to join some college near your home and work your ass off to get a good job or to study Masters in USA with scholarship. That will be more rewarding than studying in an Indian private college.
